QPE passes Babcock and McTaggart Scott Quality Audits

QPE Fabrication and sister company QPE Machining recently underwent audits of its operations. The company’s processes that were put under the spot light included work processes, traceability, customer records and security / back up of data.
The positive result reaffirms QPE’s focus on continuous improvement and customer service in line with proven management principals.
In their findings, both audit teams stated that the QPE businesses have robust and scalable systems that are a perfect fit to its current and future growth requirements. They commended all staff involved and stressed the importance of maintaining the momentum and continuing to evolve and enhance all systems currently in place.

QPE Operations Manager Mr. Neil Carson is certainly under the pump. Fabrication and engineering business won over the past few months has led to the requirement for substantially larger premises.
Mr. Neil Carson said "It is gratifying that our clients value the levels of service and support we strive to achieve. Our order book and growth to date is a reflection on the work our team does to partner with our clients".
The new facility at Pooraka has four times the floor area as our current facility with substantial overhead craneage installed to enable safe and speedy movement of large fabrications.

In December 2017 QPE Fabrication gained accreditation to the new quality manufacturing standard ISO9001:2015
QPE Fabrication manufactured and delivered the complex Track Work for North Terrace Tram Extension.

QPE Fabrication, has delivered the first stage of components ON TIME on the North Terrace Tram Extension project in Adelaide.
On site we carried out the specialised alignment and welding required.
The work being carried out by QPE Fabrication is from layout concepts through to creation and includes detail design, shop drawings, machining, bending, fabrication and highly specialised welding. The key to the success of this project has been the ability of team at QPE Fabrication to manufacture and fully sub assemble the tram union off site enabling a smooth and efficient installation process once on site.
